Finding a mobile solution specific to your business can be daunting, especially if you’ve never deployed a mobile app to drivers. Many people start looking for an app that captures signatures but quickly realizes they need industry-specific workflows.

An industry workflow example is lubricants delivery, which appears simple “customer ordered 300 gallons, and we delivered 280”. The reality is there are many workflows required to support lubricant delivery. On one order, a driver can deliver:
- Case goods – 3 pails of grease
- Bulk metered – orders 300 gals and pumps 290. Before pumping, the driver should scan the truck compartment and the tank barcode to confirm product compatibility (3-way match) and avoid a cross-fill. They should get pre/post-stick readings and check if the tank is full.
- PFD – pump-from-drum – the driver loads 2 @ 55Gal drums but delivers it as 110 gals pumped through the meter.
- Harmonized products – load a product as XYZ 5W20 and deliver as AC Delco 5W20.
- Backorder – the driver ran out of ATF and must backorder 175 gals.
The goRoam mobile app has workflows specific to:
- Fuels – (meter and gravity) for transports, commercial fuel, fleet-fueling, propane, and home heat
- Lubricants – package and metered delivery
- Chemicals – bulk products with meters and truck scale integration
- 3PL – third-party logistics
- Package delivery
