It’s been a while since our last update, but that doesn’t mean we haven’t been busy! We’ve been actively rolling out our goRoam Android app for metered delivery. We wanted to post a quick update to explain how fast and easy it is for drivers to make deliveries with the new app.
Streamlined Metered Delivery Process
The goRoam app simplifies the delivery process for metered delivery, supporting both electronic and mechanical meters. It even accommodates trucks equipped with a combination of these meter types.
When a driver selects a product to deliver, they can easily choose the meter they are using within the goRoam app. Afterward, by scanning a barcode, goRoam validates the product to prevent cross pumping and contamination risks. Once the validation is complete, goRoam wirelessly opens the LCR solenoid (valve), allowing the driver to initiate pumping.
With goRoam, drivers can conveniently monitor the meter values in real-time on their Android devices. This eliminates the need for drivers to repeatedly go back and forth to their trucks to record meter readings, saving time and effort.
The goRoam app goes beyond basic metered delivery functionalities. Drivers can capture pictures of assets or attach Bill of Lading (BOL) documents directly to the order. They can also add additional products or services, such as demurrage or splits. Just like popular delivery services like FedEx or UPS, goRoam also allows drivers to obtain electronic signatures from customers.
Once the delivery is completed, goRoam offers prompt receipt generation options. The app can either print a receipt on-site or email a PDF receipt to the customer within a matter of minutes. This ensures that customers have an electronic record of all fueled assets and their corresponding quantities, providing a convenient and efficient experience.
