Products #

Products are items that can be delivered or picked up by drivers. They should be unique by Unit of Measure (UOM). If you deliver the same product in a 55gal drum and in bulk, then you should list them as separate products if you track them separately.

A few notes on products:

  • ItemID should be unique
  • Description is what is printed on delivery tickets. If a product has a customer specific description, such as harmonized lubricants, those descriptions are entered as the ‘customer description’ on the order.
  • For bulk products such as clear and dyed diesel, gas, lubricants, etc. the SubGroupName field is used to lock the asset into that class of product. If you deliver to a dyed diesel asset, the first time you deliver it will mark the asset as that class and will prevent delivery using any other sub group.
